CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER OF YOUR CAR

Changing your car’s oil and the filter is most essential for the proper functioning of your engine. Some of people these days rely on a mechanic when changing the engine oil and oil filter of their car. But if you prefer doing it yourself to keep that extra budget, you can take the recommended steps below to ensure the whole process going well and keep that car of yours running smoothly all the way.

First, get yourself some protective gear for your hands like a pair of gloves and for your eyes like safety eyeglasses to protect yourself from the grease and spills. Use the wrench to take out the filter and turn it counter clockwise to remove the filter. Drain out the used oil and discard it after taking it out carefully. Clean up the oil filter seal and replace the old gasket if it’s necessary.

It’s very simple, isn’t it? Just don’t forget to examine every single part of the filter area and look out for any damage, scratch, or leaks after cleaning the oil filter and changing your car’s oil. Keep in mind that you should do this regularly and properly in order to maintain the performance of your car’s engine. Changing your car’s filter is very simple and only takes a few minutes of your time.
